Part One Analysis of students
Our students are the second year students in vocational school. They are learning tourism at school now and most of them will be tour guides next year. As we know learning English well is important to them. In fact, they have mastered some knowledge of English. But they are almost from the countryside. they are lower of English level and don’t have strong interest in English learning. At the same time they are lack of traveling experiences and the cultural background of those foreign countries.

Ⅰ. Status and Function
This is an important lesson in this book. Such a topic is related to life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their society sense. It can help students to attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.
Ⅱ. Teaching aims and Demands
1. Knowledge objects:
(1) The Ss can understand the content of the lesson.
(2) The Ss can hear, read, and use the main sentence patterns to express their .traveling
experiences and introduce the people and places there.
2. Ability objects:
To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing,especially to train the students how to use their own words to express their ideas.
(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs and groups.
3. Emotion or moral objects:
pleting the task, the Ss are more interested in learning English , open
up their eyes to outside world and know some about their future job.

(1) Master the adjectives about people and places.
(2) Describe the traveling experiences.
