in the 1940s意思是“在20世纪40年代”,它还可以表示为in the 1940’s。同样的,“在19世纪70年代”可以写为in the 1870s。
2. You may be unaware of them. 你可能没有察觉到他们。
unaware,形容词,“没意识到;未察觉”的意思,常用的搭配有be unaware of sth.。unaware是由词缀un-和aware构成。aware,形容词,“察觉到;发觉”的意思。
