摘要
我国高校通识教育的实施已有十余年,通识教育的改革也在不断地推进,对于通识教育内涵的研究日益丰富,通识课程体系的构建模式越来越多,通识教育的内容选择越来越广。然而,通识教育的成效却并不明显,离培养“完整的人"的教育目标还有相当的差距。而其中最突出的问题是通识精神被遮蔽。因此,对通识精神内涵进行再思考,并以此来审视当前我国大学的通识教育改革,这对于深化通识教育研究和推进我国大学通识教育改革既具有理论价值又具有实践意
义。
通识精神是通识教育的核心和灵魂,其实质是对多元价值的尊重、甄别与选择;对多种思维方式的灵活开放;对多种知识的融通。通识精神主导着教育目标的实现,决定着教育者对通识与专业教育的平衡把握,引领着教育模式的变革。它要求教育回归于人的整体发展; 以辩证的思维对待教育;教育过程注重价值观、方法和知识一体的学习。在通识精神视野下,显然当前的通识教育目标过于专门;通识教育渠道狭窄;通识教育内容封闭。导致这一现象的原因主要在于通识教育概念把握模糊;专业教育与通识教育对立的二元思维;功利化的评价机制。因此,改变这种现状必须以通识精神引领大学的教育改革, 一转变大学的教育观念,实化大学的培养目标,融通大学的课程结构, 追求“意义化"的教育方式,采取科学的教育评价,拓展教师专业素
