ABOUT THE AUTHOR
e W. Ewell is Principal Research Engineer with the
Engineering Experiment Station at ia Institute of
Technology in Atlanta. He has been involved in radar-oriented
research and development for over fifteen years. He has made
important contributions in such diverse areas as clutter
reflectivity, analysis of tracking system errors, and foreign
technology, and he remains involved in numerous transmitter
programs. He has been associated with transmitter developments
using rons, CFAs, EIOs, and TWTs at frequencies from
below 1 GHz to above 100 GHz, with pulse lengths as short as
3 ns. Dr. Ewell, who has taught courses in the School of
Electrical Engineering, lectures in numerous short courses
through the Department ofContinuing Education and serves as
tl consultant to government and private industry.
