DisDiscuss: 1. A teacher who is engaged in teaching without doing any research on teaching isn’t a teacher in its real sense.
[countless problems( such as Ss can use what they have learned) demand solutions. A teacher who is considered professional should reflect on all these and set out to do reseach on them and try to improve his teaching. To achieve this, he should engage himself to the so-called professional project in one way or another nonstop to upgrade his professional standard(knowledge and skills), which is a lifelong undertaking, to ensure a essful career of teaching ()
Discuss 2: How have you been , or are going to , engage yourself in professional project?
[ . discussion with colleagues? Reading books or journals on professional topics? participating in English corners or/& salons? Other activities?]
DisDiscuss 3: Learning Linguistics is a waste of time for us. [ see. P. 56-57]
Discuss 4: Any teacher with high standards of acquired knowledge and skills is considered professional.
