1. Main Content and Field of Application
This standard defines motor vehicles-seats head restraints-performance requirements and test
methods
This standard is applicable for front out seat of M1 type motor car.
2. Normative Reference
GB/T 11559 Motor vehicles-Use in defining their seating modations-Three
dimensional H point machine.

3. Terms
Head Restraint
The springing device that restrains the passenger’s head backward movement in relation to
the body. Its function is to ease off the possible damage to the passenger’s cervical vertebra in
a car accident.
Head Model
