exhaust silencer-insertion loss and power loss ratio test method, and is added with air
tightness, vibration durability, back burn resistance performance and automobile acceleration
running exhaust noise etc. in reference to US. EU and Japanese standards.

This standard is proposed by China Machinery Industry Bureau.
This standard is governed by China Automobile Standardization mittee.

Automotive exhaust muffler technology specification

1. Scope
This standard stipulates automobile exhaust request and so on silencer specification and
testing method, examination rule, sign, packing, transportation and storage.
This standard is suitable the exhaust silencer which uses to M kind and N kind of motor
vehicle.

2. Referred standard
Following documents are quoted as some articles of this standard. As for those quoted
documents with noted date, its following any and all changes (excluding correction contents)
or revision versions shall not be applicable. But it is encourage for those parties involved
herein to investigate whether the latest version thereof can be applicable. As regards those
without date, its latest version shall be applicable hereto.
