Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels
1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimension, shape, technical requirements, test method,
inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of steel plates for pressure
vessels.
The standard is applicable for the steel plate having a thickness of 6mm~120mm used for
pressure parts of the pressure vessel in intermediate and moderate temperature services.
2 Normative References
The normative references are indicated in Appendix A.
3 Grades
“R” after the grade given in the Standard is the first letter of pinyin for Chinese character
“Rong”, standing for pressure vessel.
4 Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviations
The dimension, shape and permissible deviations of steel plate shall be in
accordance with relevant provisions in GB 709.
The thickness deviations of steel plate shall be in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Table 1.
In case the steel plates are delivered on the basis of theoretical weight, for
calculation of which, the theoretical thickness shall employ the additional value for
the nominal thickness of the steel plate as listed in Table 2.
