As the rapid development of urban economy and the process of urbanization, urban transportation demand increases dramatically. In order to meet the needs of urban development, urban construction department has invested large amounts of funds for urban transportation system. However, the traditional urban transportation planning is single-oriented transportation planning, and do not take into account sumption of the energy resource requirements and the impact on the environment. Most urban transportation construction is not fully go along with ecological standards. Not only the traffic jam problem still exists, but also the energy resources can not be used rationnally, and environmental quality es worse and worse. Urban transportation is still the constraint of urban economy development.
Due to the various drawbacks of traditional transport planning, the paper proposes the theory of ecological transport planning from the perspective of land utilizing, traffic structure, traffic infrastructure and traffic planning evaluation. Research on the ecological traffic planning begins wih the ecological density and layout pattern of Urban land utilizing, which have great infulunce on the traffic production, to make the traffic flow distribution rationnally and the total distance shortest of the crossing the traffic zone; analysing the influence on ecology of different traffic mode, optimizing traffic structure secondly, according to the traffic structure model constructed in the research of traffic structure planning; analysing the method of ecological traffic infrastructure planning from the perspective of work planning, public transprotantion planning and passenger transportantion hub planning, which is the core of the ecological traffic planning; evaluating the traffic system, from the perspective of land utilizing, traffic strcture, traffic infrastructure, including fourteen indexes in the evaluation index system.
