We did a formal literature review and didn'e up with very much but I have attached two articles for you. The one: How Marketers Reach Young consumers p/FENR/V11N4/ has some interesting stuff. I mend checking out the stuff about advertising styles and techniques on page 35, and the addressing perceived benefits and barriers stuff on page 38; and the first and third paragraphs in the presentation context section on page 39.
In the other article "Marketing Nutrition in the Middle Grades . I would mend checking out pages 4 and 5 for some tips; page 15; and the first two paragraphs on page 23.
The following links contain some neat ideas. If we
really wanted to get serious about it, we could find out if these people
focus tested their images - up to you. I bet some of these people might be
willing to share their stuff - at least the government-oriented agencies.

Canada's physical activity guide for children -

new child/youth physical activity guides by health canada) I assume they
tested these images, but we could definitely check on that.
