文摘选取我国所有省级及省会城市图书馆49所,,涉及到RSS、Blog、Wiki、IM、Tag、Ajax、Toolbar和SNS等在内的10项技术,并对各技术及其应用情况进行了分析。调查结果显示,,所调查的图书馆中,,主要涉及RSS、Blog、IM、Tag技术,IM的应用最为广泛,Wiki和Toolbar则有被应用,有近37%。从图书馆理念、技术、馆员素质与用户信息素养等方面分析了原因,提出了具体的应对措施。

A Survey of Application of Web in Chinese Provincial and
Municipal Libraries

Abstract: This paper selects all the provincial libraries and ones of their capital cities for a total of 49 to investigate the application of technologies. The investigation includes RSS, Blog, Wiki, IM, Tag, Ajax, Toolbar and SNS and so on, and the paper analyzes the technologies and their application. The results show that the application of technologies among Chinese provincial libraries and their capital cities’ ones are still in the initial stage of development, about a half of the surveyed libraries deployed , mainly including RSS, Blog, IM and Tag. The application of IM is most widely. Wiki and Toolbar were mot used in the surveyed libraries, and nearly 37% libraries don’t use .
