一、课程的性质和任务
《大学英语3》是远程高等教育各专业必修的一门重要的公共课。课文选材新颖、体裁多样,内容丰富有趣,并有一定的启发性。该教材强调打好扎实的语言基本功,突出综合应用能力的提高。学习课文时应从全篇内容着眼,并对一些常用词和词组的用法进行分析。
教材的课后练习旨在复习课文中的有关段落,增加就较复杂的事物进行提问的能力,巩固课文中所学常用词和词组的用法。阅读材料丰富多彩,词汇练习注重复现,语法操练循序渐进,翻译训练实用全面,写作训练由浅入深,培养学生创造性地使用英语的能力。
二、课程内容、基本要求与学时分配
基本内容:本学期共学习十二个单元。教材的每一单元都由五个部分构成,即Text(课文),Extensive Reading(泛读),Writing(写作),Grammar(语法), Translation(翻译)。课件则浓缩了教材上的内容,是学习的重点内容。
说明:建议在学习每课之前要浏览该课的生词和短语,然后通读课文并了解文章的大意,之后认真听讲课件,对文章进行细读。掌握每课的重点单词、短语和句型,并通过课后练习复习巩固。
