根据国家积极扩大内需、加快铁路基本建设的战略部署,到2010年,我国铁路营业里程将达到11万km,电气化率达到50%以上。铁路电气化是中国铁路发展的最终目标。而作为电气化铁路牵引供电系统的主体接触网,其性能的优劣直接决定着电力机车受电弓的受流质量,最终影响列车的运行速度与安全。而且接触网的特殊性主要表现在露天设置,对气候变化敏感;无备用性(决定它的脆弱性和重要性);机电复合性;负荷的不确定性和移动性。由于这些特殊性,接触网故障复杂而频发。因此对电气化铁路接触网的探讨任重而道远。
