Abstract: Nanjing University is a vital base and a forefront of the study of economic geography in China,
having a profound impact on the development of the country's economic geography. Based on statistics of
articles published in selected important Chinese geographical journals, this paper analyzed the development
of the study of economic geography in Nanjing University scientifically. Along with the process of
internationalization, the study of economic geography began to blossom into a new period of vigorous
development. What's more, this study also introduces main directions of economy geography in Nanjing
University. panying the development of China's economic geography, a number of new research areas
