摘要:本文提出并研究了利用 SiO2 基片上嵌有亚波长矩形环形孔径阵列的超薄银膜实现具
有波片功能的一种方法。结果表明,通过调控具有非对称宽度的两个正交方向上的环形缝隙,
透射电磁场在这两个正交方向上的振幅与位相分量可以得到很好控制。通过优化设计,我们
在 波长处实现了 1/4 波片的功能。该波片在 110nm 的超宽波长范围内,两正交分
量的位相差变化小于 2%。此类器件在纳米光子技术和集成光子系统中,具有重要的潜在应
用价值。

Characteristics of a Surface Plasmonic Waveplate with
Subwavelength Rectangular Annular Arrays

Abstract: An optical waveplate using an ultrathin Ag film with patterned subwavelength
rectangular annular arrays (RAA) on a SiO2 substrate is proposed and presented. It is found that
the transmitted amplitude and phase of the ic field of two ponents
can be well controlled by manipulating the asymmetric width of the annular gaps along two
orthogonal directions. A quarter-wave plate at wavelength of is realized, in which less
than 2% variation of the phase difference between the two ponents can be obtained
in a wavelength range of 110nm. This device has a great potential for applications in advanced
nanophotonic devices and integrated photonic systems.

在光学研究与应用领域,光的偏振态的调节和控制是至关重要的。到目前为止, 广泛使
用的调控光的偏振态器件大多都是利用双折射晶体材料。当光入射到双折射晶体时,由于沿
两个正交方向的光轴
