只有及物动词才有被动语态,不及物动词加介词也可构成被动语态,宾语变成了主语,主语是动作的承受者:
(am/is/are + done):
You are wanted on the phone.
The Great Wall of China is known all over the world.
(was/were + done):
The city was liberated in 1948.
I was asked to do this work.
(will be done):
They will be invited to the party.
The matter will be discussed at the next meeting.
(am/is/are + being done):
The car is being repaired.
The question is being discussed at the meeting.
(have/has been done):
The bridge has already been built.
This story has been translated into English.
(would be done):
He said that the trees would be planted.
(was/were being done):
The machine was being painted then.
(had been done):
The work had been finished before dark.
(can be done):
This bike must not be put here.
Can it be finished in two hours?

The murderer was sure to be punished.
The flowers want to be watered.
