英语专业本科生写作动机与写作质量的关系

摘要
本论文主要探讨了写作动机和写作质量之间的关系,选取写作目的,写作需要,
写作焦虑,写作兴趣以及努力程度为动机变量。文献综述概括总结了近年来英语学
习动机、写作动机、及本研究相关的五个写作动机方面的研究结论。该研究采用了
问卷调查和布置写作任务的方式收集数据,研究对象为国内一所著名的理工科大学
的英语专业大一至大三的本科生。研究对象写作成绩的评定采用了雅各布量表,共
有两名专业人员评分,最后计算其相关系数,在研究中使用平均分数。研究通过 SPSS
软件进行了相关分析、回归分析从而得出数据。通过数据分析及讨论,本研究
得出英语专业本科生的写作目的共有学习情境、个人进步、学术目的,内在兴趣、
出国留学和应付考试等六种;写作需要分为长期和即时需要;写作兴趣包含了内在
和外在两种兴趣;而写作焦虑则分为使用焦虑、观念焦虑和评价焦虑;在努力程度
这个变量上,存在四种类型,分别是自主努力、任务型努力、修改型努力和辅助性
努力。在探讨写作动机变量和写作质量的关系时,我们得出了以下三个结论:1,写
作目的、写作需要和努力程度对写作成绩都有较显著的正面影响,即明确的写作目
的和需要及努力会促进写作水平的提高;2,写作兴趣在本研究中对写作质量影响不
显著;3,写作焦虑对写作质量有副作用,会阻碍写作成绩的提高。最后作者对本研
究的研究结果、对教学的启发、本研究的局限性进行了总结,提出了对将来研究方
向的一些建议。

Abstract
The present study discussed the relationship between writing motivation and writing
quality. It selects writing purpose, writing need, writing interest, writing anxiety and extent
of effort as five motivation variables. Firstly we summarize research findings on language
learning motivation, writing motivation and the above five writing motivation variables
during recent years. We use questionnaires and writing assignments to collect data. Then
software SPSS is applied to do correlation and regression analysis. Subjects’ writing
product is evaluated according to Jacob’s scale. Through data analysis, es to the
results that there are six kinds of writing purposes as leaning situation, individual
improvement, intrinsic interest, examination, going abroad, and academic requirement;
writing needs are classified as long-term and immediate need; writing interest is divided
into intrinsic and extrinsic interest; for writing anxiety, there are using anxiety, conception
anxiety and evaluation anxiety; finally effort is categorized as autonomous effort,
