Abstract: The stability and safety of the tailings reservoir plays an important role in the mining
production and environmental protection, so the safety evaluation and real-time forecasting are very
essential. Comprehensive evaluation and decision-making of tailings reservoir is a non-linear system,
thus, an overall framework of multi-sensor data fusion was firstly designed in this paper. Secondly, a
set of structured features can be obtained. Then the safety assessment model of tailings reservoir was
established based on the structured featured-set described above. Furthermore, the whole system was
given through the data flow diagram of the functional module. Finally, based on practice of the projects
of tailings reservoir, the evaluation results are analyzed to explore the security risks in the tailings
reservoir. In order to improve the accuracy of the data with tailings reservoir on-line monitoring system
and the disaster forecast level, after verification and simulation, a theoretical basis can be provided for
further rectification and reform.
