Poser/BryceTutorial
Revised October 5, 1999 - see "Spawn Morph Targets below
Revised April 22, 2000 - additions for changes due to the Poser updates.
Revised April 22, 2000 - additions for Zygote's New Millenium Woman - Victoria
This is the procedure I've been using with Poser and Bryce - updated for Bryce 4 and Poser 4. It's certainly not
the only way to work with these programs, but I'm pleased with the results. Part of the aim here is to produce
characters that are not the stereotype of Poser. It's roughly divided into 4 sections with some overlap. I use
Poser only to pose; I apply the texture maps and textures in Bryce. I feel that in Bryce's Material Lab, I can vary
the Diffuse, Ambient, Specularity and Bump sliders to plete control. With the Deep Texture Editor, I
can create and modify textile textures for the clothing groups. These tutorials assume a working knowledge of
Bryce4, Poser4 and a graphics editing program like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop, etc.
I suggest that you do not load any texture maps in Poser, other than the default maps that Poser loads for each
character.
A lot of this tutorial came about while developing characters for a collaboration.
Power of 10 Collaboration e - Power of 10

● Additional Programs (to be added)
Part One - Poser 4
● Start Poser 4
● From the Libraries Palette replace the default figure with the Poser 4 nude male - this will be figure1
● The P4 male is located in Category: Figures, sub category: People (see page 34, Poser 4 manual)
● Add hair, if desired
● You can pose the figure now - once clothes are added, problem areas will be immediately noticeable
● Add the first clothing item -sweater (Category:Figures, sub category: Clothing Male) -this will be figure2
