5. Expose and estimate area of burn
The severity of a burn depends on the depth and area of body surface involved. Mortality increases with burn severity and advancing age.
estimate area of burn :  以烧伤区占体表面积的%表示,国内有中国新九分法和手掌法。
中国九分法新九分法是将人体各部位定为若干个9%(主要适用于成人),如头颈部为9%,双上肢为2×9%,躯干及会阴为3×9%,双下肢为5×9%,再加1%。
