文档介绍：摘要《荷塘月色》是我国著名作家朱自清于十九世纪二十年代创作的近代白话散文的经典之作。此文情融意境、神形逼现,吸引了国内外无数读者和翻译家。本文拟从语篇角度对比研究由葛浩文、朱纯深以及杨宪益夫妇翻译的《荷塘月色》的三个英文译本。众所周知,翻译是在语篇而非字、词基础上实现的。翻译的最终目的是为了实现语篇层次的相对对等。莫娜·贝克认为语篇层次的翻译对等主要通过衔接和信息组织(尤其是主述位结构)两个方面来实现,因此最终的翻译作品也必须具备这两方面的特征。然而,英语重意合,而汉语重形合,因此彼此在衔接手段以及信息组织方式的选择上必然相差甚远。这就意味着译者在重建译文语篇衔接和信息组织方式时需要作出相应的调整。基于这一认识,本文对朱自清的经典名作《荷塘月色》的三个英译本中的衔接手段和主位结构分布进行分析比较,旨在为汉英翻译实践提供一定的参考。本文重点讨论了与主位结构紧密相连的语法衔接手段:照应、省略和连接。通过对《荷塘月色》三个英译本的翻译实例进行对比分析,我们发现,汉英两种语言在实现语篇连贯时经常采用不同的衔接手段,合理的转换有助于实现译文的连贯。此外,通过对三个译本中主位组织结构的分析,我们还发现,合理的主位组织结构是汉译英时实现译本语篇衔接和连贯的重要途径。在汉英翻译实践中,译者应合理安排语篇中各小句的主位和述位,从而使译文形成一个完整的语篇,达到信息自然流畅。关键词:语篇翻译;衔接;连贯;主位结构;对比研究 Abstract Lotus Pond byMoonlight is one oftheclassicproses writteninplain words by the noted Chinese writerZhu Ziqing in itsaesthetic beauty,this prose has attractednumerous readers aswell asmany translators athome and thesis aims atmaking acomparative study ofthethreeEnglish versions rendered by Howard Goldblatt,Zhu Chunshen,and Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang respectively from atextual perspective.
