梅尧臣的禽言诗与动物意象研究
Abstract
Mei Yaochen was one of the first poets in the Song Dynasty, who tried to created
a world of new poem images. In my thesis, I do much research into Mei’s fowl poems
and a variety of animal images. in different periods of his life, his poem ideas , art styles
and the uses of animal images are various, which I also carry out much research on. On
the basis of it, I look into the time origin which made Mei pay much attention to animal
images. Meanwhile, I also do much thinking over the effect of the singing-answering
poems between Ou Yangxiou and Mei Yaochen which caused him to make much use of
different animal images.
This article consists of five parts. In Chapter One , Mei’s special poem genre is
analyzed as a whole. The fowls which turned up in his poems are divided into different
kinds and the connotations of each kind are also explored ; In Chapter Two , according to
his life experiences and political career, his different styles about animal images varied
from the times of Tian Sheng Ming Dao to the times of Jing You Qing Li to his old ages,
and every style in these three periods is also analyzed; Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 are the
most important parts in this article. There exist more creative points in Chapter 3, and the
various uses of different fowl images are classified into many sorts. First, by linking Mei’s
poem arguments, the functions that animal images are used to describe some visual scenery
or some invisible scenery are discussed. Second, I believe that Mei’s animal images were
used as political arms to express the poet’s sympathy for peasants. Third, his animal images
are used to express all kinds of the poet’s strong emotions ; In Chapter Four , the time and
thinking origin that Mei was keen to make use of animal images is analyzed. Mei
