Firstly, the appreciation goes to my supervisor Sun Ruohong, and I am most
grateful to her. I owe her special thanks for the reason that her invaluable suggestions,
ments and painstaking corrections have contributed a lot to the
completion of this thesis.
Secondly, sincere thanks go to all the teachers who teach me in the field of
English linguistics. Their academic lectures enlightened me on my interest of

Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology and increasingly frequent
munication, English news is playing a mor
