The principle of coherence of light design, is a kind of interferometric spectrometer, it has excellent properties, perfect functions, and application scope is extremely widespread, also has a broad development prospects. This article would be the basic principle of Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, a briefly introduction of summarize the main characteristics of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and reviews its application in all aspects of the basic. And then focus on plastic products, at the same time to complete the analysis of sample preparation and the spectra of ir, and to establish various types of plastic produce ir spectrum library for the purpose, to complete the paper.
