A: There isa popular summary of Chinese food is“ sweet in the south, salty in the north, sour in the west and spicy in the east. ” Do you know it? B: Yes, favored dishes vary from region to region because China isa vast country with diverse climates and customs. C: Well, as for Chinese cuisine, there are five features of hey are color, flavor, taste, shape and meaning. T he most important feature of Chinese food in my point is color, aroma and taste. B:I agree with you. A ll together, there are 8 culinary traditions of China, Sichuan , Shandong , Hunan , Anhui , Zhejiang , Fujian , Jiangsu and Cantonese cuisine. C: Wow! It sounds great. My favorite food is Dongpo pork. Do you know which cuisine does it belong to? A:I know, I know. It belongs to Zhejiang cuisine. Zhejiang cuisine has won a reputation for freshness, tenderness, softness, and smoothness of its dishes with mellow fragrance. A nd it consists of3 styles, each originating from a city in Zhejiang province .T hey are Hangzhou style , Shaoxing style and Ningbo style.
