Learning Objectives:
At the end of the class, the students are expected to be able to
1 retell the growing experience of Xiwang fluently;
2 Summarize the serious problems that the pandas are facing;
3 Can list more measures to protect the animals and have the willings to care for them.
Teaching process:
Lead in
Show some riddles, let the students guess what animals we are talking about. Of course, the last riddle is about pandas.
Step 1 Read and challenge:
Read the story silently and finish B1 and B2.
Step 2 Read and understand:
Read the report again(loudly) and finish the mind-map
First, mind-map about the main ideas about the three parts: Story, problems and measures.
Then, let them talk in groups, mind-map about the details.
Eg. At birth, the pandas drink____

Next, check the answers.(Let volunteers show the answers, and add marks for the group work.)
