Study on the Protein Requirements of Growing Beagle Dogs

【Abstract】 Objective The propose of the study is to determine the protein requirement and the digestible protein require
ment of growing Beagle dogs fed with practical dry type diets containing mixed protein sources. Methods Nitrogen balance test
was used. Results The regression equation between nitrogen consumed and nitrogen retained is Y1 = - 11 05 + 1 82 X1 -

clusion The optimal dietary protein allowance for maximal protein ret
