1. Students look at the photographs and discuss what the situations are and match the verbs to the nouns. Give vocabulary for the various situations: catching a plane, visiting a factory, having dinner/a meeting.

1. Students look at the requirements and the diary and think what Susan Morris might do.
2. Explain Diary is agenda, calendar or datebook in American English.

3. Play the recording for the first time. Learners fill in as much information in the diary as possible
4. Play the recording a second time and get students discuss their answers before playing the recording again. Pause the tape if necessary after each of the answers. Write these names on the board: Wong, Coh and Hu.
