Self-discipline is a treasure for our life. While the world is filled with temptations and distractions,one can only succeed by learning self-discipline.

Everyone likes to do things at his own pleasure, but self-discipline is one of the essential qualities that contribute to our progress and development. With self-discipline, we can overcome laziness, strengthen our will power and achieve our goals.
Once I was absorbed in a nice TV series. When I finished watching an episode, I was desperate to watch the next. So one episode after another, I couldn’t resist the temptation of the story and stayed up deep into the night. When I finished the series the next morning, I found it was almost time for school. I grabbed my bag and hurried to school. Exhausted and dizzy, I couldn’t focus on what the teacher said and fell asleep during the class, which made the teacher angry and me ashamed. After class I had to make up for what I had missed, thus disturbing my normal schedule. I felt very regretful afterwards because I was tired and busy for a long time.
For lack of self-discipline, my health and even academic performance were affected. As for us students,whether we can control ourselves properly is of vital importance. Lack of self-discipline may hold back our progress in life.
Never be afraid of making mistakes. In fact, making mistakes is making progress.
