Although English is universalized in China, w ith the increasing development of the econom ic globaliz ation , the people with professional legal English skills is still scarce due to the ignoran tof the characteristics of the legal English. This essay was meanly about pare between legal English and ordinary English, combined with the characteristics of law .The unique nature of vocabulary characteristics and sentences constitute of legal English was discussed. And the importance was pointed out that from the three aspects , understanding, practice and translation .
