Abstract—Solidification/stabilization effect of metalworking, paint and so on, which brings
FeSO4 and Ca(OH)2/CaO on chromium frequent accidents of high concentration
contaminated soil were studied by contrast, chromium contaminated soil and huge damage
especially the effect of its reaction interval time and of living environment and human (Ⅲ)
concentration. The change of S/S effect with time and Cr(Ⅵ) are two main forms existing in
was also discussed. Results reveal that the reaction natural soil. Cr(Ⅵ) compounds is oxidative
interval time effected on S/S slightly, with the high and toxin[1-2], which is regarded as the
quality ratio of water to soil. As FeSO4 and carcinogenic substance by World Health

Ca(OH)2 was used as the S/S agent, when the anization . Solidification/stabilization
concentration went up to more than 3 times, the (S/S) of chromium slag has been researched,
Cr(Ⅵ) concentration could reach the standard but there were few researches on S/S of high
stably (less than 5 mg/L); when FeSO4 and CaO concent
