It tells the order in which events take place.
It is told from a particular point of view.

Narration When you are asked to write a short story, or asked to do some "creative writing", you are doing what is called "Narrative Writing." Narrative writing is meant to entertain! Part of being human is getting to tell great stories!

It tells a story about an event in a person’s life.
It is written from events in the person’s memory.
It expresses the person’s thoughts and feelings.
