清中期长篇小说炫耀才学倾向研究

摘要

小说发展到清朝,各种类型逐渐增多,作家们的写作技巧也日趋高超,在小说发展
史上达到了最高峰。清中期的文坛上更出现了曹雪芹的《红楼梦》、李汝珍的《镜花缘》、
夏敬渠的《野叟曝言》、李绿园的《歧路灯》、李百川的《绿野仙踪》五部代表小说,尽
管其主题思想和艺术成就差异甚大,但这几部小说却体现出一个比较共同的倾向,即这
几本小说的作者在叙述故事情节、刻画人物形象的同时,有意无意地展现自己非常丰富
的知识信息量,炫耀自己在各个领域中的才学和学术观点。这一倾向可以概括为小说炫
耀才学倾向(可简称为小说炫才倾向)。
以曹雪芹为代表的五位作家在作品创作中体现出的炫耀才学的倾向可具体表现为:
凸现小学知识与文献考证功夫,展示写诗、论诗才华,显示园林艺术造诣以及表露文、
史、数、医、杂方面渊博。清中期长篇通俗小说在各个领域中展现了如此丰富的知识以
及学术观点,可以说间接地渗透出了作家们的有意无意地炫才意图。而这种炫才倾向的
原因是多方面的,首先通过对炫耀才学现象溯源,可以发现其有自身的文学传统,我们
不仅可以从历代小说作品中挖掘到这种炫才的迹象,还能在其它体裁的作品中探索到其
炫才的端倪。其次炫耀才学倾向与作家的文学观也存在一定的必然联系。具体从心理学
角度、文人自身角度、古代小说观的角度和乾嘉学风这一时代大背景的角度分别探讨炫
才倾向所产生的原因。
在小说中炫耀才学打破了传统小说以情节为中心的模式,突破了小说题材的界限,
推进了小说各门类的合流。本文以独特的视角和切入点探讨清代小说,具有一定开拓性
和创新性意义,对清代小说的研究有着重要的文学价值和艺术价值。

Abstract
In the middle of Qing Dynasty, five novels emerged. They are Cao Xueqin's 《Red
Chamber Dream 》, Li Ruzhen's 《Jinghuayuan》, Xia Jingqu's《Yesoubaoyan》, Li
Lvyuan's 《Qiludeng》, Li Baichuan's 《Lvyexianzong》.Their topic thought and the art
achievement can't place on equal footing, however, they have mon
characteristics: The description of the story details, the person image depicting, ability
and learning showing and academic standpoint.
Five writers taken Cao Xueqin as a representative incline to a performance:
language and character, manuscript heritage research, discuss of the poem theory, the
park art of study and text, history, math, medical science etc. This mode inclines to break
the tradition novel to take details as center, break the boundary of the novel topic and
push forward the confluence of the novel each type. The reasons are various. First,
ability-showing phenomenon has the reason of literature tradition. Second, his
inclination is inevitably related to literature idea. This text will from the psychology angle,
scholar oneself angle, ancient times' angle of the novel view an
