(2)试种情况：2000年，贵州省园艺研究所、水城县民政局、水城县科技局、水城县农业局等单位从四川省自然资源研究所引入“红阳猕猴桃〞品种，在猴场、米箩、鸡场、蟠龙4个乡试种，收到了较好的试验效果。
(3)示范栽培情况：截止目前，全县已建成红心猕猴桃生产示范基地9000亩，其中：猴场乡1600亩、勺米乡900亩、鸡场乡1900亩、米箩乡4400亩、杨梅乡100亩、顺场乡100亩。2022年8月13日经专家组在猴场乡进行实地测产，平均亩产1640公斤，，增长18％。

1、开展规模小，有限的产量难以满足国内国际市场对水城红心猕猴桃产品的需求，目前规模效益不明显。
2、基地建设投资本钱大，从开始建园到进入盛果期，每亩的资金投入1万元以上，作为普通农户来说，根本无法投资，尤其是规模开展的投资者，投资压力特别大。如贵州水城华荣农业开展有限公司在米箩乡建设的2500亩猕猴桃基地，就因为投资跟不上，导致农户的土地保底金没有得到及时兑现，农民积极性受挫，后续管理资金不能到位，田间管护差，制约了猕猴桃产业的健康开展。
3、技术到位率低，科技含量不均衡。一是没有成立专门的效劳机构，导致种植模式五花八门，就种植密度来说就有多个版本，有74株、110株、220株、360株不等，田间管理更是各具特色，管理精细的像猴场乡进入盛果期的果园，为了保证果品外形，起到防病、防虫、防摩擦的作用，大局部果实都套上了纸袋，一看就感觉到有做产业的味道，而有个别基地，不仅疏花疏果等常规管理没有做，而且整个果园杂草丛生。二是投资开展猕猴桃的开发商大多是工业转产农业，缺乏猕猴桃栽培管理技术，种植管理随意性比拟大，基地建设质量标准低。三是参与基地建设的劳动力缺乏猕猴桃栽培管理技能、思想意识不到位，因而，导致基地种植管理的精细化程度不高。四是由于管理理念不一致，导致基地建园及后续田间管理水平悬殊较大。
