Significanc in logical thinking, expression and language characteristics. With the development of globalization, the contacts between countries are increasingly close. Communication is an indispensable bridge in China's foreign politics, economy, culture and other diplomatic activities, and translation is particularly important in this process. To explore the influence of different modes of thinking between Chinese and English on translation can guide specific literary forms, such as government work reports, Chinese ancient poems and idioms, and provide reference for translators to interpret catering to the target language users' favorite, cultural background and language usage habits.
Through the analysis of the Chinese-English government work report, the Chinese ancient poetry words with the image of "Moon" and the idioms related to "dragon", this paper finds that under the influence of Chinese curvilinear thinking and English straight-line thinking, the above subjects can be translated more appropriately and accurately to express the overall connotation and spirit of the original language works with free translation strategy. The words used in Chinese government work report are incisive and concise, and they are used to extremely refine and condense a large number of words and ideas, and highly summarize them into simple words, while the words used in English are vivid, specific and varied; the moon in Chinese ancient poems is often the image of poets' feelings of parting and lovesickness; hometown and homesickness; constancy and treasure time and the symbol of beauty; the appearance of Chinese dragon and Western dragon has great differences in characteristics and cultural connotations.
