墨子义利价值观及其当代意义

本文是从价值哲学的视角对墨子的义利价值观进行比较系统的研究。墨子
的义利价值观的核心是“兼爱”,主旨是强调“义”与“利”的统一。
墨子的思想产生于“礼崩乐坏”的春秋时期,他为了挽救纷乱的社会秩
序,提出了尚“利”贵“义”的价值观,认为“义”是实现“利”的手段,而
“利”才是最终目的,只有通过“义”才能获得“利”,达到“义”“利”统
一。本文通过与孔子义利观和亚当·斯密义利观相比较的方法,进一步凸显墨
子义利观义利并重、损个人利益而求天下之“利”的价值取向,揭示其义利价
值观的特点就是“兼爱”。“兼爱”是墨子义利价值观的核心,其十大主张
“非攻”、“尚贤”、“尚同”、“节用”、“节葬”、“非乐”、“天
志”、“明鬼”和“非命”都是以“兼爱”为起点展开的。与孔子的“仁爱”
相比较,墨子的“兼爱”更注重平等性和无差别性。作为墨子思想的核心和精
华,“兼爱”的价值内涵是“爱”与“利”的同一性。由于墨子义利价值观是
建立在“兼爱”学说基础之上的,他把人与人的关系设想成包括在经济利益上
无差别、无对立的境界,个人利益的获得在于他人利益获得基础之上的,使他
的学说不免蒙上一层空想色彩,因此其义利价值观存在一定的局限性。
改革开放以来,随着社会的不断进步,经济的快速发展,我国物质文明和
精神文明建设取得世人瞩目的成就。但是,人们价值观念与价值取向上却出现
了偏颇、存在一定问题,许多人以追求利益最大化为目的,逐利忘义,拜金主
义、享乐主义和极端个人主义严重泛滥,建构合理的价值理念成为时代的必然
要求,因此党的十六届六中全会提出、党的十七大进一步强调要大力建设社会
主义核心价值体系。当前社会上价值观念偏颇的主要原因是割裂了“义”与
“利”两者之间的关系,“义”与“利”失衡。墨子提倡“义”“利”统一价
值观,就是要做到义利并重,尚“利”贵“义”。通过“扬弃”方法深入发掘
墨子义利统一价值观的“合理内核”,对建设社会主义核心价值体系、构建和
谐社会具有一定的借鉴意义。

Mozi’s Value of Justice and Profit and Its
Contemporary Significance
ABSTRACT
The artical does the systemic research on Mozi’s value of justice and profit on
the perspective of value philosophy. The core of Mozi’s value of justice and profit is
universal love, and the purport is the unity of justice and profit.
The Mozi’s thought appeared in spring and autumn period when is destruction
of rite system. In order to save the social confusion, he puts forward the value of
advocation of profit and valuation of justice. Meanwhile, he thought justice was the
method to plish profit and the profit was the final purpose. It may achieve the
unity of justice and profit to acquire profit through justice. By parison of
Confucius and Adam Smith’s value of justice and profit, the artical further shows the
value orientation to emphasize the justice and profit and lose the personal profit for
others’ benefits and reveals the feature is universal love in Mozi’s value of justice
