解振华在颁奖典礼上的答辞
尊敬的安南秘书长、尊敬的特普费尔博士、尊敬的瑞利先生,女士们、先生们:
今晚,我非常荣幸接受安南秘书长阁下亲自颁发的全球最受尊敬的环境奖。它说明联合国和国际社会对中国在环境保护和可持续开展领域所做的努力和取得的成就的充分肯定。这一荣誉不仅属于我个人,更属于我的祖国和那些在平凡岗位上为保护中国环境作出奉献的全体同事们。
我成为环保工作者的20年正是世界环保事业蓬勃开展之际,也是中国经济快速开展之时。经济快速开展带来了严峻的环境挑战,兴旺国家上百年出现、分阶段解决的环境问题,在中国短短的20多年中集中表现出来,呈现复合型、压缩型的环境问题。由于中国将环境保护作为一项根本国策,坚持实施可持续开展战略,开展大规模污染治理和生态恢复,在经济快速开展的情况下,环境恶化加剧的趋势得到根本控制,局部城市和地区的环境质量有所改善。我有幸在这个伟大的时代,从事这一伟大的事业,并奉献了我最美好的年华,为此,我感到无比自豪和荣耀。

尽管中国的环境保护和可持续开展方面取得了很大成就,但中国的环境污染仍然很严重,生态恶化的趋势还没有得到根本遏制。特别是老的环境问题还未解决,新的问题还在不断出现。未来20年,中国提出了经济繁荣、政治文明、社会进步、人与自然和谐的全面小康目标,经济总量还将翻两番。传统的开展模式将使资源和环境面临前所未有的压力,环境保护的任务十分艰巨。为此,中国政府确定了全面、协调、可持续的科学开展观。走一条科技含量高、经济效益好、资源消耗低、环境污染少、人力资源得到充分发挥的新型工业化道路。为实现这一目标,我们将大力开展以最有效利用资源和保护环境为根底的循环经济,积极推进可持续生产和消费,切实加强环境法制,严格执法,公开环境信息,鼓励公众参与,让我们的人民喝上干净的水、呼吸清洁的空气、吃上放心的食物,在良好的环境中生产和生活。中国的环境保护依然任重道远,我将为此继续奋斗。
感谢联合国环境署授予我笹川环境奖,我愿将这次获得的奖金全部捐献出来,用于中国西部最贫困地区的环境与教育事业。
女士们,先生们:1972年联合国人类环境会议以来,尽管国际社会作出了巨大努力,但全球环境仍在持续恶化,成为人类面临的共同挑战,而快速开展的全球化更使环境形势日益复杂。现在需要的是我们的责任感、政治意愿和胆识,更需要具体的行动。在世界各国的共同行动中,需要联合国环境署发挥更大的作用。
我们深深地认识到,把中国的环境保护工作做好,就是对全球环境保护的最大奉献。我们愿与国际社会继续加强合作,为保护人类的共同家园作出不懈的努力。
