克拉达戒指
RING
克拉达戒指得名自戈尔韦(在爱尔兰西部)的一个渔村。传统上这种戒指都是由母亲传给女儿的,是订婚戒指也是结婚戒指。订婚时戒指上的王冠冲里对着手腕,婚礼上戒指上的王冠冲外对着指尖。如今仍有很多人选择这种戒指作为结婚戒指,不过如果自己买这种戒指就不合适了,它只能是作为礼物由别人赠送给新人。

爱尔兰婚礼迷信 superstition
爱尔兰人相信如果太阳光照射到新娘,就会给新人带来好运。在婚礼当天的早晨,听到布谷鸟的叫声或者看到三只喜鹊,也都是吉兆。在婚礼仪式之后,必须是一位男士而不能是女士率先向新娘表示祝贺,这一点非常重要。

蜜月=holiday?

在爱尔兰语中,蜂蜜是meala,蜜月就是Mina meala,指的是婚礼之后的一个月。而在婚礼上,新婚夫妇要畅饮发酵蜂蜜酿制而成的蜂蜜酒。婚礼过后,新婚夫妇会获赠大量的蜂蜜酒以及一个特殊的高脚杯,在婚礼之后的这一个月当中,他们将享用这种特别的美酒——蜜月一词正是由此而来。 After the wedding, the newlyweds will get a lot of honey wine, and a special goblet, this one month after the wedding, they will enjoy this special wine - where the word is.
