白族是中国南方历史悠久民族,列中国第15大民族。

白族人民喜吃酸、冷、辣等口味,又喜吃一种别具风味的“生肉”或“生皮”,即将猪肉烤成半生半熟,切成肉丝,佐以姜、蒜、醋等拌而食之。白族人民还喜喝烤茶。著名的三道茶就是白族的待客礼
