Jerome David Salinger American writer, was born in New York on January 1, 1919. Father was jewish importer. His famous novel the Catcher in the rye is regarded as one of the classics in the twentieth century American literature. On January 27, 2010, Jerome David salinger died at his home in New Hampshire, has died at the age of 91.
