The Xi’an City Wall
Xian is the capital of Shaanxi province, located in the southern part of the Guanzhong Plain(关中平原地区) . Xi’an is recognized as one of the most important cities in China, both historically and currently. Xi’an, called Chang'an in ancient times , has been the capital region for 13 dynastic periods. It also has been the eastern end of the Silk Road(丝绸之路),so Xi'an was the first chinese city to open up its doors to the ancient ’an is surrounded by natural beauty, including rivers, mountains, plains, and rolling hills. Xian, the eternal city, records the great changes of the chinese nation just like a living history book.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda
As the symbol of the old-line(历史悠久的)Xi’an, Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy(神圣的)place for Buddhists(佛教徒).The full name of Big Wild Goose Pagoda”En Wild Goose Pagoda Temple“(慈恩寺大雁塔), located 4 kilometers away from Xi’an area of the Grace Temple(慈恩寺), built in 652 AD, according to legend Grace Temple is the first abbot presided over the Tang Sancang(唐三藏)from India after the return of the country, in order to worship and storage classical sanskrit(梵文经典)and buddhist relics(佛像舍利) to design and built personally.
