Yellowstone National Park, set aside by the . Congress as a national park on March 1, 1872, is located mostly in the . state of Wyoming(美国怀俄明州) , though it also extends into Montana)蒙大纳(美国州名)) and Idaho(爱达荷) . The park was the first of its kind, and is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal(地热的) features, especially Old Faithful Geyser(喷泉), one of the most popular areas in the park. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine(亚高山带) forest is dominant. It was known to the Americans as the world's the one and only magic Park, it is the world's first National Park.
Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468 square miles (8,983 km²), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano; it has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years. Half of the world's geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of the land area of Yellowstone. The park is the centerpiece of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the largest remaining, nearly-intact ecosystem in the Earth's northern temperate zone.

Old Faithful shows that rocks below the surface
are very hot. Rocks below ground heat the water
under pressure for around 90 minutes. Suddenly,
some water spurts through a tiny 5-inch wide
crack in the rocks. This causes a drop in the
pressure within the water chamber. In an instant,
thousands of gallons of water are turned to steam
and blasted up into the air.
The old follower hot spring is the world famous JIANXIEQUAN, in 1870 isnamed. This spring sprays water 17 to 21, the spraying of waterapproximately 40,000 litres, the average height is 40 meters everyday. Because of 1,
