摘要
信用卡作为传统金融业务和现代信息技术结合的新兴产物,已经被普罗大众接受并且广泛使用。它已经成为与大部分人息息相关的新型货币工具。信用卡业务也因其突出的利润实现能力及在获取客户信息、竞争优质客户等方面的独特优势,成为商业银行强化客户关系管理的重要载体和手段。随着我国国民居民收入的增长以及外资银行信用卡业务抢滩中国,信用卡业务成为各商业银行业务发展的重中之重。规模扩张的同时,信用卡业务所面临的风险也逐渐凸显。信用卡业务对商业银行而言是一柄双刃剑,在带来利润的同时也蕴藏着极大的风险,可能会引致该银行流动性危机乃至波及全行业的危机。如果不在发展初期消除隐患,信用卡风险还会转化成为国内商业银行的大笔不良资产。如何借鉴国外银行的成功经验,并有效的化解和防范信用卡的风险,减少信用卡风险给银行带来的损失,就是本文着重讨论的课题。为此讨论的信用卡的风险与如何防范。以及作者的一些见解。
