Photometric characteristics of devices for the illumination of
rear registration plates of motor vehicles and their trailers
GB 18408-2001
1. Scope
This standard specifies general requirements, photometric and colorimetric characteristics as
well as testing and inspecting methods, and inspection rules for the rear registration plate
illuminating devices used on motor vehicles and their trailers.
This standard applies to the rear registration plate illuminating devices (hereinafter called
"illuminating device") used on motor vehicles and their trailers.
This standard does not apply to special purpose vehicles.
