Wen arrived in New Delhi(新德里)Wednesday for his first trip to India since 2005.
Aim: to promote friendship, expand cooperation, build on past achievements and open up new dimensions(规模) for mutual benefit mon development of the two countries.
Wen said, “China and India are cooperative partners instead of rivals. There is enough room in the world for both China and India to develop and cooperate with each other. The bilateral(双边的) trade and economic cooperation between us is mutually beneficial."
Obstacles to develop the relationship:
Main obstacle: the lack of trust .
Boundary issue: The 2 countries are always having conflict in the ownership of the land.
As the 2 biggest economic entities in Asia and the fastest developing countries in the world, India and China are the petitors to each other. India-China trade ties have often been rocky, as India continues to impose antidumping(反倾销政策的) duties(关税)—the highest by any country at the World anization last year—against Chinese products, alleging that the prices of some goods are set artificially low. China has also raised objections to India‘s stringent(严厉的) regulations in sourcing power and munications equipment, calling them discriminatory.
Achievement
India and China said they aim to lift their annual bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2015, more than double the total last fiscal(财务的) year, illustrating new efforts to boost(促进) cooperation between the world‘s two fastest-growing major economies. On Wednesday, Indian and panies signed more than 40 deals(交易) in the power, commodities and s sectors for bined $16 billion. Many of the deals were Chinese bank financing agreements for large Indian orders of Chinese exports of and power-producing equipment.
