师:(导入新课)
Just now we watched a lot of advertisements.

(3分钟导入课文)
师:You see ads are so amazing. Today we are going to read about the passage Advertising.
(通过brainstorming, scanning, fast reading 和 detailed reading等形式,学生理解课文,用时25分钟)
师:Since you have looked through the passage, I’d like to know what you have learned from the passage.
(通过两部分Say something about advertising 和Find out the advantages and disadvantages of advertising,检查学生对课文的理解,并让学生适当扩充有关广告的信息。用时7分钟)
师:You have learned a lot about advertising. But what makes a good advertisement? Let’s have a discussion.
(通过这一讨论,列举广告的要素,并介绍广告心理学中的3B:(Beauty---Baby--- Beast) 理论,为后来的广告设计制作做好铺垫。
师:You have so many good ideas. Now I’d like you to make an ad for our school so that our school will be better known to more and more people and attract more students.

作业布置:
1. Read the passage again and again and underline the phrases you think important.
2. Make an ad for our school or make a public advertisement in groups.
我认为本堂课有以下几个亮点:
。在阅读之前先对文章内容进行预测,这符合阅读的一般规律,在阅读之前首先在头脑中形成一个信息包,为阅读做好准备。
。首先,在阅读时注重篇章的理解,帮助学生理解文章结构(Brief introduction, Body and Conclusion)。其次,难句的突破在课文理解中带出,不是为了难句去讲难句。
