文档介绍:Introduction
Since entering into WTO, China has been more frequently involved in the world’munication. In order to further develop both munication in the laws of different countries and the achievements of both domestic and international law studies, China should absorb the positive achievements from other countries and study them as well as introduce our new constructive research results to the world. Therefore, the titles of Chinese jurisprudential articles in academic periodicals should be translated into English as references for international scholars to promote international academic exchanges.
I have done some studies on the titles of articles in some essential law periodicals, and learned some translation principles and skills from other law translators. According to the different types and characteristics, I have summarized the following translation principles and skills as follows.
Translation of Titles
Titles are the eyes of the articles. Eyes are the windows of the heart. Usually, the title of a jurisprudential article is the essence of the theme and the content. It is brief and to the point, strict, simple and unadorned, novel, and protruding the theme.
