布里安·芬尼豪(Brian Ferneyhough),是 20 世纪 70 年代开始至今活跃于
世界乐坛的英国著名先锋音乐作曲家,一位杰出的、富于创新精神的作曲家。
芬尼豪赫的音乐创作深受布列兹和斯托克豪森等人的影响,因此具有严密的逻
辑性和极端的复杂性,因而能在 20 世纪下叶的新音乐中显得不同反响而独树一
帜,被誉为“新复杂主义”的代表人物。他的创作颇丰,且形式多样,其中不
乏优秀、经典之作,为其赢得了国际性声誉。他的音乐作品逐渐已成为国外作
曲家与分析家们的研究热点。
受 Arditti 四重奏乐团委约,布里安·芬尼豪在 1987 年创作了《第三弦乐
四重奏》。目前,国外对芬尼豪音乐作品的研究已取得了一些成果,但对这部作
品尚未作全面、透彻的分析。鉴于此,本文后四章拟以布里安·芬尼豪的《第
三弦乐四重奏》第一乐章为分析、研究对象,运用作曲技术理论、音乐分析学
和音乐史学等相关研究方法,从音高、结构、风格等视角,以文字说明与图谱
诠释相结合的方式,对布里安·芬尼豪的《第三弦乐四重奏》第一乐章中所体
现出来的具有代表意义的创作技法进行分析。
本论文分为上篇与下篇两个部分,由七个章节组成:论文第一至第二章主要
介绍并概述了布里安·芬尼豪的生平、创作技巧和特点。第三章至第九章通过
对《第三弦乐四重奏》第一乐章的音高、节拍、曲式、复调、“音色一音响等方
面进行论述。最后的结语部分,则对布里安·芬尼豪创作风格及技法特征进行
了集中的概括总结。

Abstract
Brian Ferneyhough is active poser who started his career in the 70’s
of the last century, he is poser with exceptional innovation. Influnced by the
music of Boulez and Stockhausen, Ferneyhough’s music is characterized by strict
logics and plexity, therefore in field of contemporary music in the
second half of the 20th century, his music stands out as a unique symbol of “New
Complexity”. He has large output positions, some of which have been analys
posers and theorists. Commissioned by the Arditti String Quartet, Brian Ferneyhough
composed String Quartet in 1987. So far, this piece is still not yet thoroughly analyzed. This
thesis will analyze the first movement of Ferneyhough’s String Quartet , focusing on pitch,
structure, style, form theorical and historial point of view..
This paper is made of two parts or seven chapters. There are two chapaters in the first section
focusing on poser’s biograghy positional style; The second section contains
chapters 3-7, focusing on pitch, rhythm, form, polyphony etc. The last part of the paper is a
summary of poser’positional style and technique..
