Abstract

With the deepening of economic globalization and internationalization of science
and technology, the requirements of social all circles for college students’
petence are getting increasingly higher and higher. In 2007, the
State of Ministry of Education issued College English Curriculum Requirements (the
revised edition) which stipulates that the aim of college English teaching is to develop
students’ prehensive proficiency, especially in listening and speaking, so
that they will be able to perform an munication in their future studies
and careers as well as social interactions. Besides, it emphasizes that the model of
college English teaching should hold the principle that pragmatism, informativeness
and interest ought to be embodied in English teaching, which particularly highlights
that the embodiment of student’s status of subject and teacher’s leading part in the
