摘要
语言在表征领域长期以来都占据着绝对的主导地位,而这一地位逐渐因为视觉交流的
发展而不断下降。不可否认,语言交流与视觉交流作为两个相对独立的系统在很多方面存
在着差异,但我们必须看到语言与图像之间的关联,甚至要从更广的符号意义上去关注多
种模态之间的联系;也正因此,多模态话语分析开始出现并成为研究的热点。其实对视觉
交流的研究有很长历史,从符号学形成就已经开始,其中涌现出很多知名学者,如 Saussure、
Peirce、 Eco、 Barthes 等。尽管如此,从功能符号学角度进行的视觉研究则是一个全新的
领域。
